The Voyageurs Classic Planning Committee has determined that snow conditions are such that it is just not safe to hook down even small teams on our trails. Regrettably, we have CANCELLED the 2013 Voyageurs Classic Sled Dog Race for the safety of our mushers and their dogs.
Please mark your calendars on January 10th and 11th, 2014 for the 2014 Voyageurs Classic Sled Dog Race. We are READY to go (since we just had another great “dress rehearsal” *sigh*) and are very excited for all you mushers to come to Northome, Minnesota and experience our wonderful trails.
All mushers will receive full refunds via check. I will get those checks into the mail by Friday. The website will be updated as soon as possible – but give us a few days please!
Finally – a very special thank you goes to our Planning Committee. Very few people know what it takes to put on one of these events. This Planning Committee is absolutely FANTASTIC. The creativeness, enthusiasm, and “can do” attitude is truly awesome. I am very privileged to be a part of such a group of great folks. Next year – don’t forget to thank them for all their hard work.
